I decided to checkout a FEW clips of reporters "muckin' up" on air, but a FEW turned into SEVERAL, which turned into MANY... So funny, I can't even believe some of this shit. Anyways, if you want to laugh then these are sure to bust your gut a bit.
I'm actually majoring in broadcast journalism, even though it doesn't really 'float my boat.' Being on T.V. can be fun sometimes... as you can see in these vids, so check out at least a couple if you can spare a minute.
I have to do a package for 472 and for entertainment sake, thought I'd checkout some popular mistakes reporters make. Not always unavoidable, like some you will see, but some are.
1. Lesson 1: Say MORE than "OH MY GOODNESS." We have ALL seen 'NAKEDNESS.'
2. Lesson 2: what to do... what to do...
Do you make the call and go to commercial or wait for your FD??? hmm...
3. Lesson 3: DON'T CUSS WHEN YOU'RE WEARING A MIC!!!
4. Lesson 4: LIVE T.V. MEANS LIVE T.V.
5. Lesson 5: How to get workman's comp. when you're a reporter

Those clips are good to keep in mind next time we are taping our show for COMM 472!
And then there is this clip ... my heart sincerely goes out to this guy who got called on last minute to do his college broadcast and encountered some teleprompter issues ... but the good news is he got a reporting job in TX! Check it out and feel his pain ... hopefully we don't feel it that badly this semester!

OMG Christiana those are sooo funny! Thank you so much for sharing... it's addicting once you start because there are some crazy reporting vids.
Oh and by the way, Bill O'Reilly is a nut-job! I don't like FOX news, and I think O'Reilly is horrible. He gives journalism a bad name because he is so biased and such a deutsche bag!
Anyways, hopefully the show will go well tomorrow. I know you and Franco will do a great job!

This is so funny. Everyone's worst nighmare is to muck up on live TV. I am a broadcast journalism major as well, and WOW! I hope I never have to endure that humiliation!
