About the whole Chick Flix Thing... Listen up guys!

Okay! For all you "confused" males out there, let me give you some insight into this whole V-Day thing. While some girls want to be showered in chocolates and bears and you know... that kind of stuff, don't be mad... you chose the high-mantenance chick! Damn. For the others who want to do something sweet for either the girl you have been with a while or maybe not as long, just spend some time with her!

Females are a piece of work. I know. From the bottom of my heart, I realize our gender is complicated (not that you guys are a sweet slice of pie either), but we just want one night where you hold us and love on us and listen. So, if your one-on-one "quality time" V-day date includes a movie, I would probably take a couple notes...

1. Absolutely no serious epic dramas like Legends of the Fall, Braveheart or Gladiator, even though they are incredible! Nothing says I love you like "FREEDOM!!!!" or weeping over the death of Russell Crowe. Comprende??

2. Probably nothing too "Quentin Tarantino-e" like Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill. Action takes that light, lovey-dovey mood out of the air. You see, V-day is supposed to represent love, hearts, roses, cute and pretty things.... NOT blood and guts and kill kill, bang bang... Got me??? Moving on then....

3. Finally, here's a thought... to show you put some thought into it, maybe watch an "oldie but goodie," like When Harry Met Sally or Say Anything or Jerry Maguire or The Bodyguard or Pretty Woman. While these are chick flicks--in some way, shape, or form--they are entertaining and there won't be any of that obnoxious sobbing, that annoys us all... :D

Hope this helps! If it doesn't feel free to comment! If you're a chick and you disagree with me, that's cool and if want to add something, then GO FOR IT!!! I wish everyone a safe and happy V-day and that not EVERYONE is waiting until the last minute. you don't have to spend a lot, but for the sake of this Hallmark Holiday put at least a "lil" thought into something special...

I'm going to have to vote for "When Harry Met Sally". It's a tried and true classic.
